CEP full and part-time staff include a full time Director and team of Tides Center Program Officer, Human Resources, Administrative, Governance and Financial staff; full and part time CEP Fellows; part time researchers, writers, editors, online web maintenance and expert advisors; summer interns, and; "seconded" staff from partner organizations. CEP is a 501c3 non-profit charity and project of the Tides Center.
Vicky Markham, Founding Director, Center for Environment and Population (CEP), has over 25 years’ experience in the field of population, women, reproductive health and environment/sustainable development science, policy, advocacy and public outreach from the local community, national and global levels. She is a graduate of the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, worked with leading organizations including the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), World Wildlife Fund (WWF) US and International, and International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and volunteers with local community educational and environmental organizations.
